About

Oh Hi! How are you all doing? Bristol Crochet (not very inventive I know, but I hate trying to think up names and this described where I am and what I enjoy in two little words), is my little business, or it will be when I’ve created enough bits and pieces to put together a product line. For now Bristol Crochet is an online space where I share my daily ramblings, inspiration and other tidbits about my life.

Who am I?

I’m currently 28, live in Bristol, UK and my name is Kerri *waves*. I’ve been crocheting for a little over a year now, I started when Little Lady (that’s my daughter Isabella by the way) was almost due and I decided on my due date that I just had to make her a blanket. I made it using baby cashmerino wool and a single crochet (US) stitch. The tension was horrible, it’s not been blocked and once washed the whole thing is now a stiff mess. Thankfully in the past year I’ve come on leaps and bounds to the point I’m proud to give my crochet items to friends and family. My knitted items on the other hand leave much to be desired, but I’m working on those.

Little Lady is likely to feature heavily by the way, she’s just become a toddler and is a handful but I love her to pieces. Lots of my inspiration comes from her and things I think she’d like to play with / wear. Although between her and the cats my yarn stash is not safe.

My hopes and dreams…

I really want to start a tiny business selling enough lovely things that I can fuel my yarn buying habits with the profits. That being said, I best get back to creating things

  1. I’m loving your blog. It makes me smile to read that other crochet addicts share the same issues – size of yarn stash, productive hours lost on Pinterest, and bags of tangled yarn due to pet sabotage! (My dog, your cats) I’m loving your granny square hexagons. Hope to try them soon πŸ™‚
